Four Images of Peregrine sibling rivalry. All images taken at considerable distance and are significantly cropped.

Top Image: One of the Juvenile Peregrines is perched on a branch across the bay from where I am positioned. It just came back from an unsuccessful hunt, but did managed to scatter a large flock of ducks and shorebirds.


A second juvenile Peregrine is perched in a distant tree and is being watched by four noisy crows perched high above it in the top of the tree.


The first young Peregrine (left one) decides to join its sibling which was being harassed by the Crows. However, it seemed that its company or help is not wanted as it is chased off by its brother/sister, all whilst the Crows are looking on.


Having successfully chased away its brother/sister, the second Peregrine perches on the branch vacated by its sibling. It appears to be in attack mode. Perhaps that is why the Crows also decided to take off.
