Two images. The second a crop of the first. These images are a follow-up to yesterday's posting (see http://www.pbase.com/image/125232787 ) where the Hawk looked straight at us (but forgot to smile).

In the current images, the Hawk is concentrating on an approaching Mallard and appears ready to pounce (see the raised foot). That's when the crows came along causing the Hawk to fly away. The Mallard didn't thank the crows, not realizing its narrow escape.
