This is only my second R-b Woodpecker that I have seen,both females. My first was last year at the Nortel Woods where the female resided for a while. Many of us looked for the male at that time but I'm not aware of any sightings.

Presently, I saw this female two times, about two weeks ago on the same day; once in the morning and once in the afternoon. However, after that it seemed to have disappeared. I have also not been able to find the male, though one person told me that his wife had seen both the male and the female at their suet feeder earlier on.
