TWO MOUTHS (BEAKS) FULL

Two images.

Top Image: Purple Martin with a good supply of groceries for its brood. It has a long wait as the Martin House is down and the young are being banded. It baffles me how it can catch and transport so many Dragonflies, then distribute them to the young.


A Grasshopper Sparrow with a well balanced meal for one young one sitting on a branch near us. The adult is waiting for us to step back before approaching the young, Just previous, it had given the young one a huge Grasshopper. Presently, the young one is screaming loudly for its next bite. It seems they never get enough. They sure keep Mom and Dad busy.

Your second image appears to be that of a Grasshopper Sparrow; note no banding on the chest; and tan colouration.
