Two images of the 11.5 week old Loon and one of its parents. I think that this is Dad, but I am not positive. Previously, I thought that Mom was with the young one all the time now because I had not seen the whole family together for several weeks, but as of this morning I think that this is Dad. Dad seems to be a bit bigger than Mom. I think that Dad is starting to molt at the base of his beak as are several other adult Loons on the lake. This morning I saw the smaller adult with the young one. It still had a nice black head with no evidence of white at the base of the beak.

In these two images, junior seems to be toying with Dad and/or playing hide-and-seek.
