THis is one of the last immages I took of the two young. Its been two weeks now since I last saw the one young. I assume therefor that it has perished. I am not able to tell which of the young remains as I had not seen them for about a week when I first noticed the one missing.

The one remaining young is now about 37 days old and doing well. I'll post some shots of it tomorrow.

This year the loon chicks are not doing as well as last year. Last year I watched four families with a total of seven chicks at the start and five remaining after three months. This year, I only kept check on two families with a total of three chicks at the start and only one remaining at five weeks.
