WuXi - A place below heaven

685 km from ChongQing , 2685m above sea level ; is my wife's home town. I have been to WuXi twice in 2003 and 2013 respectively and had been stay there for a month. This is a remote little town hide inside the mountains and the people are known by one another.
Travel to WuXi was a pain in the neck in 2003. I went there by an 18 hours bus ride from ShenZhen to ChongQing and another 11 hours rough ride up and down hills to be there.
It's still a pain in the neck to get there in 2013. I had a 3 hours plane from HK to ChongQing and another 6 hours ride from ChongQing to WuXi. The ride is faster and smoother this time but I am getting older !
Everything pays off when I saw the scenery over there. The air is clean and the people are nice. WuXi still keeps her virginity after all these years. Enjoy.

only the places that are difficult to get to can survive tech-culture and mass tourism, so it will be worth a few visits to see your mother in law yet!
