Out Of Business

It is a pity that the Rickshaw sight seeing , once a major tourists attraction in Hong Kong had been demolished years after years and nowadays they were all out of business.

Love the strength of the graphic design in this excellent capture. Beautifully focused in for detail in this tightly famed image. A superb capture but an unfortunate and sad reality behind this capture. Voted+

The lock makes it so final. I recall seeing a half dozen or so elderly rickshaw operators at the Star Ferry exits back in the late 70s

A perfect illustration of your comment ! V.
We use rickshaws when we travel in Asia, but every time we are confronted with contradictory feelings: allow driver to earn (with great difficulty) their life, and to be ashamed, sometimes, to see them making of efforts to convey us.

Sad to hear that this iconic way of travelling is no longer in use.. v

Some worthy comments there! I agree - greener, quieter, less hurried, and a more authentic experience. One can grab a cab anywhere! Interesting composition and statement Hamery. V

That's too bad. We have Pedicabs in Austin Texas now. Reminds me of a rickshaw, except pulled by a bicycle. Pretty popular too! http://www.easyriderpedicabs.com/
You photo is very good. I love the lines and curves. V

What a sad commentary about the rickshaw's being out of business! At first I loved your title, but now I'm disappointed that they're all gone!

It does seem a pity. Yet did I once read that there were heart problems with the driver's exerting themselves over the years.
