So You Think You Can Shoot ?

This gallery displays some of the targets published in "The Rifle" that were shot off-hand and from rest in regulation 200-yard matches by competitors during 1886 and 1887. They range in calibers from the Maynard .22-10-45 to a Maynard .38-50-330PP and were national records at that time. Most of these were shot on the newly adopted Standard American Target. The 10 ring radius measured 1.63 inches, the 9 ring measured 2.77 inches and the 8 ring measured 4.00 inches. How does your shooting compare?
