Pair of Belgium Made Target/Dueling Pistols

These pistols, with patent breech, are .450 diameter bore with six lands and grooves, length of barrels is 9 1/2 inches. Gold inlay was used for the matched numbers. The "1" in gold on the barrel breech is matched by a "1" on tang. This was done so that the barrels were not put back in the wrong tang. They have a patent breech holding the nipple and the removable barrel. Both pistols are treated with fine engraving and are in excellent condition. The nipples were platinum lined and very fine removable units. The maker is unknown, but may be recognized by the touch marks on the barrels.
