John Armstrong, a Golden Age maker made this original rifle about 1800. George Stanford was the master craftsman who made this recreation. John Armstrong apprenticed under George Schroyer of Hanover, Pennsylvania. John Armstrong was noted as one of the finest engravers of the time.
