Chamelot And Delvigne Pinfire Revolver - Model #8: This pistol was manufactured by Chamelot and Delvigne in Brussels. This is the eighth model made by Chamelot and Delvigne. It was created by a later patent of May 1864 and was chambered for the 12mm pinfire cartridge. Previous models fired the smaller 7mm pinfire cartridge. The eighth model was best known for not only being a larger caliber, but also featured the first standard trigger and trigger guard. It is also known as being the first double action pinfire revolver produced. Please note the gun smith's touch mark on the left side of the barrel, close to the cylinder. It is the letters "PE" under a crown. We think the initials stand for Paul Ebert.
