A Real Hand Cannon

.577 5-Shot Francotte-Counet with Pryse-Type locking levers on both sides of the action. It is believed that the 3740 is the model number of Francotte and 5144 is the serial number. This gun is capable of slinging a .600 diameter 457 grain hollow base bullet at 680 fps and only takes 42.5 grains of GOEX FFF to do it! This gun is believed to have been carried about 1900 by the boss on the mail/freight line between Colonia and San Jose, Uruguay. Needless to say - no one ever attempted to rob that particular freight line!
