After a brief but fun time away from the islands and the computer, it's still great to be back.
As I replied to Ginny Kakazu, I don't have contact info for Dorothy Hu but gave her some
Anyone out there having further info would be much appreciated.
Mahalo Tim for all you do, especially in providing an opportunity for students to be able to
help themselves to a better education.
Be it golf or another game/pastime, you're right Tom, it's the people that are ultimately the
reason we enjoy getting together.
Thanks to Roger Kobayashi I was able to contact Geri Perreira after all these many years.
During our high school years Geri was my next door neighbor.
Great to be in touch again Geri.
Heard from Gerri Barcenas that Ron Lee had recently passed away.
I knew he had been battling with a long illness but looked and seemed fine when I saw him
last at one of the get-togethers that seemed like just a short while ago.
Will post further info and confirmation when/if I can.

Mahalo for your dedication to sharing information via the emails.
Was nice to see an article about Dorothy Hu.
Wondered where she is living.
If you are in touch with her will you please ask her if her contact information can b e shared?
Her cousin Joanne Ikehara is an RN at Rehab Hospital.
JoAnne wants to be in touch with her relatives since both parents have passed away.
It’s amazing how “blogs” like yours bring people together.
The world gets smaller as I age.
Please say “hi” to your sister Elsie.
Hope she is doing well

I completed the funding for the endowed scholarship in Miss Pearl Jackson’s honor/memory for a
Kaimuki High school graduate and if there are no Kaimuki High applicants the scholarship can
be awarded to a public high school graduate.
Interested students should go to the Hawaii Community Foundation website for applications that
will be available on November 15th and acceptance notices are sent out in late spring.
The HCF have a wide range of scholarships that students should explore.
Hope Kaimuki High students take advantage of this fund.
It’s not much but with several scholarships a student can receive quite a lot.
Hope all is going well for you.
With much Aloha,

Yeah thanks again to Shinty and his all volunteer group of classmates, we all had a great time at
the golf tournament.
Got to talk story to classmates about our good ole days and of course the never ending talk about
how old we are all getting.
Golf is getting harder and harder to play, but I guess at our age, we should just enjoy one another
company, before we journey to our next life.
Thanks again to Shinty and his crew and of course not to forget Brenda, Iris, and Stan for taking
those wonderful and memorable photos..
Almost forgot to thank Wayne for the bento and Phyliss for those ono snacks.
If I left out anyone, please forgive me..
Because there were other classmates who donated those wonderful prizes we all received..
Anyway wonderful golf tournament and great time spent with classmates...

Hope this finds you doing well, and also hope that I've emailed the right Geraldine.
Below is a copy of the email 'blog' that I occasionally send out to classmates to keep them informed and connected.
It's just for May and June but the previous ones are archived on the photo website that I use to store reunion photos.
The reunion photos themselves can be found via this link.
You may have already visited the website, but if not, please do so and enjoy.
I'll be placing you on the recipient list of the email 'blog' for future mailings.
JFYI, unfortunately I don't share any classmate email addresses without their consent should you find a need to request such.
Having said that though, quite a few have given that and are subsequently corresponding with each other.

Thanks Stan, I've posted those photos on the pbase website with the link to it below.
Also providing photos were Iris Takahashi ( McKinley 1960 ) and Brenda Kadokawa.
These were passed on by Richard Shintaku, Mahalo Shinty.
I've named ( thanks to Shinty ) those in the photos that many of you might not know.
The rest, who are classmates, I'll ID as soon as time and opportunity permits.
I missed posting Gerri's email re the unfortunate passing of Tony Gonzalez.

Finally had a chance to try to update the email blog recipient list.
As many of you know I had a computer problem a few months back and had to rebuild that list.
Inadvertently left out quite a few recipients while doing so... apparently even my sister.
Hopefully that list is now current.
Another great loss, our shared classmate, KHS '60 and '61
