Nice pun!

I'm surprised we don't see more use being made of ISO 1600. The feel of this is so appropriate for the subject.

Interesting shapes and textures. I would be interested to see it in B&W.

you'll have trouble choosing with all that choice! :-o

Here, here! Now you know my secret. I was just looking for an excuse for another night at Le Bouchon and an opportuinity for serveral wine flights. Also worked in time with a good friend, appetizers, and dessert with coffee. What could be better?--Rene

I wouldn't need a better reason to repeat this shot than another night amongst these soldiers! Of course, with me, even at 1/100 there'd be noticeable blur and not enough water to slake the thirst come Repentance.

Looks like a good place for a night out Rene, as long as you don't let the water get in the way too much of course. ;^)

John, good points. I am thinking it needs to be cropped from the top. Just have not figured out exactly where. Next time I will get the water out of the way. It was a fun evening out.--Rene

Interesting treatment Rene. Not a bad way to resuce a motion-blurred 1/6 sec handheld capture with ISO1600 noise, although a little shaper would have been nice of course. f/11 was a brave choice given the low lighting; I think it would be worth sacrificing a bit of DOF for some improvement in shutter speed. The edge treatment, etc is quite creative and I'll keep that in mind. The only thing that looks out of place is the large glass of iced water that dominates at the front at the expense of the wine-related stuff. If you could have shifted that one off to the side more or even removed it altogether and replaced it with a glass of wine I think this image would have been stronger, even if you had intended it to be the subject. However, I llike the effect of the rest of the image.
