This specimen is accompanied by two old labels. The first dates to before 1832 when anglesite was named. The second appears to be in the hand of W. C. Brøgger who was professor in mineralogy and geology at Stockholms hogskola, Sweden. In the years 1881 to 1890 he bought a lot of specimens from collections among them a collection with 3000 pieces from " hr. Commandant Smith and this is probably the collection that contained this anglesite specimen.
