West Pennines Minerals

Barite is the dominant gangue mineral in this outer zone of the Pennine orefield, but fluorite occurs at the Hilton Mine ( https://westgarthforster.blogspot.com/2015/07/yellow-fluorite-from-hilton-mine.html ).

The following mines are included in this area: Silverband, Dufton, Hilton, Murton, Lunehead and Hunter's Hush.
