Antelope Canyon is the most-visited slot canyon in American Southwest. Located on Navajo land near Page, Arizona, formed by erosion of Navajo Sandstone, it is a de rigueur site for photo enthusiastics with a tripod in hand. The best time to visit is around mid-day in the summer, as beams occur when the sun is high in the sky. I was out of luck in February, but the scenery was still impressive. Winter brought its own benefit, there was no mob of other tourists competing for the best photogenic spots.
