Mehrangarh Fort

Although not a good photo, I thought it was important to illustrate the fort's commanding location. The colors are off but this was the best I could do with a very hazy image.

View of Mehrangarh Fort from Jaswant Thada

The pic I clicked is also a bit hazy, yours is better than mine... it has some colors... Mine was clicked in the noon around 1pm, so the sunlight made it impossible to get a good image... Wish I went to see it in the evening !!

Hi John
Yeah, I know its very difficult to get the proper click of the fort from any point. I'd been to Mehrangarh Fort and other places in Jodhpur too in December 2004. I clicked the Fort from the other monument nearby (Jaswant Thada) and got a pretty good click. I was just searching for some other photo and landed up on your page, and it really brought me back the memories of my trip... The camera I used was a Canon Powershot A400... Some of the snaps I took aren't much good because it was just a week I'd purchased the camera and was still experimenting with it...
Here is the picture of the Fort I got from Jaswant Thada -

And the rest of the albums of places I visited in Jodhpur, Jaisalmer, Ajmer and Mount Abu are also there on Yahoo! -http://photos.yahoo.com/aprn_s/
