Debby and I traveled to Burma (Myanmar) in October 2010. We were there during the annual Festival of Lights celebration in Rangoon (Yangon) and the Phaung Daw Oo Festival at Inle Lake. Burma is a photographer's paradise and the Burmese people are among the friendliest we have encountered. Our trip was organized by R. Crusoe & Son. Many thanks to Patty and David Weber, managing partners of R. Crusoe, for hosting a most enjoyable and enlightening journey.
I have organized my photos in galleries corresponding to the major geographical areas we visited plus one gallery dedicated to a very special ceremony initiating three young boys, brothers, as Buddhist novices at a monastery in Bagan. A number of the images are not as sharp as I would like... they were taken from moving vehicles.
