rathambor national park

This was actually quite a lot of fun. The pictures are terrible (you can't really get good ones unless you have a super camera with a lens as long as your arm), we didn't see a tiger, but had the great fortune to be in the same safari bus as a very enthusiastic family of bird watchers. They made the trip feel like a living documentary as they avidly described all of the birds, their distinctive features and their lifestyles and hangouts. They were even kind enough to loan us their binoculars to view most of the birds we saw. So, if you would like to experience the distant blurry excitment of seeing various animals in their natural habitat, please continue. If you prefer more "in focus" pictures, please return to my other galleries...

the best animal picture I have...it wasn't on safari, but I got to use my micro lense before he ran off!
