This is the environment we were shooting in. It wasn't this crowded everywhere, this just happens to be one moment where a lot people were set up in a particular spot. There was plenty of room for everyone and usually we were much more spread out than this. There were three photography workshops going on, plus whoever else was there, so really not that many people. The river runs in a valley with steep mountains on either side, and there are mud flats where the eagles hang out, and also lots of trees for them to perch in. Generally we were shooting down toward the river, but there were several places where we could get down closer (without stressing the birds of course) and get really close.
