Taken at the Minneapolis-St Paul Airport. There were three owls, the other two were perched further away on the runway behind the fence. They were also juveniles since they were considerably darker. Even this one is pretty far away, so the photo has been cropped 80%. This was the fourth time I had gone out searching for the owls and never would have found them had there not been several other birders with spotting scopes. The dark thing in the top of the photo is a plane passing by. The owls didn't seem to mind all of the noise and commotion of the airport.
