Our tents by the river. One mistake I made was buying a tent that wasn't free standing (not having done much camping before.) So in many locations it was too rocky to drive stakes into the ground and I wound up sleeping in the van a lot. Since then, I have always made sure to buy free standing tents. Camping next to this river was a luxury because we got to bathe EVERY DAY! But there were no facilities and not much privacy...
