Came in a similar plane in 1979 to Jari when my father worked in Jari. Had my 21 birthday in the Amazon jungle. I am now 54 and still think about that time with found memories.

I rode on this DC-3 when my father headed up the Jari forestry dept between 1971-72. It was a very smooth landing on a gravel runway. Even got to sit up with the pilots. They were great Brazilians - and we always loved watching the plane come up the river 3X a week! I loved the jungle!
