The little watchmaker -- long story here.

Skylers Timex sprung a leak. We got most of the water out, but it would condense on the face. While in the "free zone" in Manaus we asked if a watch repair shop was near. They sent us up a flight of stairs over the store. This friendly little man looked at Skyler's watch, shook his head muttered something we didn't understand. He then proceeded to tear it all a part. He was kind of singing under his breath all the while. He put the pile of watch parts in a machine that spun them. After about 3 or 4 minutes he removed everything and re-assembled the Timex. He handed Skyler back the watch and explained the seal was bad and he had replaced it. All the time with a smile on his face. When I asked how much, he shook his head and said "no, no" I convinced him to take 5 dollars and let me take his picture. This pic is the result. What a great little guy.
