Thanks Albert. I've said it elsewhere that as long as you don't expect huge prints from the high iso shots, it's perfectly useable.

Of course I am biased, as I lived with a cat like this for years. But anyway, this is a nice image (an ear and a nose, and I am wounded). And only in 100 % you cannot oversee the noise. One of the reasons to switch to a DSLR for me is the ability to pump up the volume indoors instead of grabbing a flash that not only cats do not like that much.
