Albi is a commune in southern France. It is the prefecture of the Tarn department, on the River Tarn, 85 km northeast of Toulouse. Its attraction to me was its massive, fortified cathedral. Something you notice about Albi is their use of bricks everywhere, from the cathedral to the bridges. Makes for quite a change from other parts of France.
