Re opening of the Bairnsdale line to haul logs from Hillside brought on a "Hillside Trip" frenzy.
The empty log would cross the Up Sale Pass at Traralgon, then head off to Sale then onto Hillside arriving about 1100. It would then shunt and load up the train and depart between 1300-1500. It would then proceed to Sale, where it would cross the Pass, then follow the Pass out of Sale departing about 1730 then to Traralgon. A great photographic day !
