To many, a Carl Zeiss Distagon 25mm f2.8 is the next best thing besides the legendary 21mm, but even the D25 is still too expensive. Enter the Yashica ML 24mm f2.8, the best alternative to the Distagon. This lens is very sharp, although not quite as sharp or contrasty as the D25. Distortion is well controlled, but I haven't got a chance to test the flare resistance, since we are in the middle of the Canadian winter, sunshine is a luxury that we don't have often.
