This is my first fish eye lens. It covers 180 degrees of view. When looked through the view finder of a full frame camera, the angle of view is amazing. In fact, if you are not careful, you could photograph your own fingers :-)
A lens like this makes ordinary every day places look interesting. It's a fun lens for sure, and for dramatic, distorted view, a fish eye lens is your choice.
On the Kodak SLR/c, I am impressed with its center frame sharpness even wide open at f4. The corners are a little soft until it's significantly stopped down.
On the 1D Mark II, the lens does seem less sharp than on the Kodak, because the Kodak does not have the blurring filter (AA filter) in front of the sensor, like the 1D Mark II does. The angle of view is still very impressive on the 1.3x format.
