For some reason, the 85mm focal length seems very popular among M42 lens users. Of the 85mm lenses, the S-M-C 85mm F1.8 is a more desirable lens. Since I do not have one, I am not sure how it compares to the 85mm F1.9, but I am quite happy with its performance.
