Leica-R Lenses

There is no doubt that the name Leica brings up the words "Expensive" and "Quality". Often times, you get what you pay for and I think it is the case with Leica lenses. Once you hold a Leica lens in your hand, you know you are getting something substantial. The all metal built is a joy to use, or even just playing with. I own three cheapest Leica R lenses. The Elmarit 28mm F2.8, Elmarit 90mm F2.8, and the new acquisition, Summicron 50mm F2.0. My brief testing shows that the Summicron is sharper wide open, then then 28mm Elmarit, and lastly the Elmarit 90. None of them are bad, of course; they are just different. The 50mm Summicron is the easiest to use on my Digital SLR, since the F2 maximum aperture really brightens up the view finder to aid focusing.
