This is the cheapest Carl Zeiss lens I have bought. This lens is very beat up. Dent filter ring, fungus growing inside, rear had marks of someone trying to remove the elements for cleaning, but unsuccessful. Took it to Andrei G. and he did an excellent job of cleaning it.

It's unfortunate that all the adapters I have can not make this lens focus to infinity. Same thing happens with the Distagon 25mm f2.8 that I had. So, don't believe what the seller says on eBay, that the adapter can make the lens focus to infinity.

I am simply stunned by the sharpness and resolving power of this lens. Even at f2.8, the lens puts some of my L lenses to shame.
