The beauty of melancholy

The more I grow older, the sweeter is the pain of memories.
Today I visited my best (animal) friend in the Frankfurt Zoo.
Looking at him is to me as to look in a mirror.
No wonder my fav color is BLUE. ;-)

I was highly inspired to take this shot by the galleries of these two fantastic female photographers:

What makes the image for me is the light in the eyes, metaphoric of an elsewhere. I wonder if these animals have the same expression when free.
