We also visited another village at a lower elevation call Quebrada De Agua. In one of the homes there we assembled a stove to take the place of cooking on an open fire. The stove uses 1/3 the wood of an open fire, and since it has a chimney gets the smoke out of the house. A lot of children have respiratory problems due to the constant exposure to smoke from open fires.
We also met the village elders who came to visit while our team was assembling the stove.
