This cooperative Dusky-capped Flycatcher was found by Kathy Kuyper at Wilder Ranch State Park west of Santa Cruz on December 19. These shots were taken December 25 and 26. This species' normal range extends from southeast Arizona and southwest New Mexico south to central South America, and they are rare visitors to California, mostly in late fall and winter.
