September 7th,, 2010, the Grand Prix Cycliste de Québec was held in the beautiful and picturesque scenery of Old Québec. The competition was the 15th race of the UCI Protour Circuit and a premiere for the city of Québec. The race consisted of 15 loops of a 12.6 kilometers circuit that included some steep hills, of which the difficult Côte de la Montagne (375 meters long at 10%). People answered to the invitation in a large number as a big crowd was present in the narrow streets of Old Québec. At the end, the riders were very impressed by the people’s reception and showed their appreciation. It’s a rendezvous for next year for sure!
