The newer school building, used from 1926 to 1949, with the clearly visible, annoying, excessively bright floodlights. Ironically, nearby Fredericksburg is one of only a few towns that are officially designated as a "Dark Sky Community" by the International Dark Sky Association. Clearly the committee that manages these historic schools has not gotten the word (though I sent them email so they know now).
