Saturday morning I was scheduled to leave Yellowstone to head for Grand Tetons National Park. I woke up just as it was starting to get light outside. My plan was to go get some shots of the sunrise, but as I lay in bed I did not have much enthusiasm for that. I decided I would get up and look outside. If it was a clear, cloudless sky I would assume the sunrise would not be too colorful and go back to bed. If there were some colorful clouds, I would throw on some clothes and go to the nearby overlook that I scouted out the day before as a possible good location for sunrise pictures. This picture pretty much tells you what I saw when I looked out the window.
