The Nesting Eagles of St. Paul

Somewhere around Jan/Feb of 2005, a pair of bald eagles decided to build a nest just a 5 minute drive north of downtown St. Paul. Of all places, they've decided to build this nest right alongside a major freeway artery! It's not yet clear (at least to me) if these inner city dwellers are intent on raising a family, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they do. It would be nice to have the opportunity to chronicle such an event. So far the logistics of the nest have prevented anything but fairly distant shooting. The images here have all been heavily cropped. As it warms up, I hope to get better vantage points via canoe on the lake adjacent to the nest. Stay tuned for updates.
