Minnesota Wildlife Connection - Spring 2007

I returned to the Minnesota Wildlife Connection for a spring workshop offering photographers access to the many species of newborns they have begun to rear at the facility. Here's a sampling of my efforts from a highly enjoyable day of shooting.

They are beautiful shots. I live in MN had thought of visiting this place myself, but they are the same ones who a few years ago allowed a country music singer to kill a penned bear, and videotape it as if it were a wild hunt. Also the owner plead guilty to setting up bear-baiting stations inside a national wildlife refuge, where he illegally guided clients to kill bears. As tempting as it would be for me to visit and hopefully get some shots as nice of these, ethically I just can't support people who do these types of things. No criticism of your photos or your visit there intended.

Hi Osprey. I wish I could claim thse shots were in the wild, but alas they are not. These are captive animals reared and cared for at a facility which caters to the photography of a wide variety of species in natural settings.
