I went to Anchorage this august. Near the Hotel I was staying, I caught a glimpse of it... my heart froze, there before my eyes was a truck that, the very image of, took me back to an old western Washington farm when i was a young teenager. this lovely Old timer was a 1953 dodge pickup, not the flatbed duelly I learned to drive in, and went out to the alfalfa fields to change sprinklers, on those hot summer days. but the cab was the same, and the color. i remember sneaking into town before any of us kids had drivers licenses to get a cold six pack of coke, cause it was 95 degrees and we had worked all day in the fields picking up broken bails of hay...

now nearly 40 years later and a long ways away from that old farm, sitting in a side street of Anchorage was a truck, that took me back.... to a simple time a dreamy time of life... what a sweet time I can almost smell sprinklers in the alfalfa, sgaebrush, and grandma's homemade bread after a long day sigh....

so when i saw this truck i had to take a few minutes to take a few pictures i had to shoot through the windows, but it kinda adds to the dreaminess of the truck... for me anyways...
