Ulu Knife snakewood 1

this knife is in the style that is commoon to the Eskimo of our region of alaska, i have here my own version. ( I am not eskimo) the blade is from an old crosscut saw, you know what they used before chainsaws. the handle is a beautiful and dense wood called snakewood, also called leopard wood. from new guyana in the northern region of south america. the sheath i made specific to the knife from some wonderful bridle leather, and tooled it, to me it kinda reminds me of fish skin.
the Ulu is a great knife to use once you get used to it. you can use a tremendous amount of force when butchering and it is also great for filleting fish.

other sizes: small medium original auto
