seal gut parka sewing

for thousands of years the indiginous people of the north have found ways to live and survive the harsh conditions of the arctic. Seal Intestines were used to make a parka shell out of rows of the dried gut, it resembles somekind of transparent exotic paper, but forms a water proof mambrane that protects the user ... the seams were carefully sewn to make it water tight. Here is a detailed picture of such a seam.
