Day 316 - Rustic
(1047/365)
I noticed this shed (not a one-holer) on the way out of the campground. It actually housed a pump, but was made to look like an outhouse.
The LX5 came in very handy on this trip.

Day 315 - Red Zone
(1046/365)
I bought the kids head lights for the trip. I figured they would use them in the evenings on the ride to read by. It worked.
I didn't expect them to read by the Red light, however.

Day 314 - Catching Up
(1045/365)
Just got back from a week & half trip to Disney & Back. For some reason, I'd thought there would be WIFI at the campground, but no such luck. This was the first evenind drive somewhere on I495 in Mass. Shot out the window of our Tahoe.

Day 313 - Bon Voyage
(1044/365)
Maria got the photo assignment tonight via process of elimination. Everyone else had gone to bed. I will be there soon, I've run myself ragged to be able to take the time off for a vacation. We've got a big day ahead of us tomorrow, lots of packing and organizing (we aren't going to stop to go pull something out of the camper) to do.
In 24 hours we should be in the camper either sleeping or getting ready to sleep with the heat turned up.

Day 312 - In a Row
(1043/365)
These aren't for the kid's school lunches, not yet at least. These are the three "Lunchbag coolers" that I bought yesterday for the Disney trip. We have two of the larger style bags beside these (though I think the kids had plenty of them already). Everyone will be carrying their own food & gear on this trip. We've gone from carrying just shy of a metric ton of food strapped to, on, in, and under strollers through Disney, to kids in backpacks themselves along with food and other things, to our last trip where it was my wife & I carrying the food and water.
I bought a bunch of different sized containers for sandwiches, snacks, and other things. We are going to have very good lunches at Disney this year.
Two days from today we will be somewhere in New Jersey, hopefully very close to our first stop.

Day 311 - Eyes
(1042/365)
Another selective coloring thing. Busy day of sleeping late (yea!!), shuttling my teenager around, and shopping for the last minute items we need for the Disney trip. I think we have almost everything, save for the fact that I just noticed our Tahoe's inspection is due and I don't think I will be able to get it in the shop before Wednesday.

Day 310 - Selective Blue
(1041/365)
Getting things ready for the trip on Wednesday. A lot of running around today for just that purpose. Looks like there will be some more running around tomorrow too.
Spent about two hours today comparing Disney Dining Packages, this will be our 5th or 6th trip as a family and we've never done a dining package yet. It helps that we will have our camper there with us, we know all the nearby grocery stores and can skip out in the evenings for restocking when necessary (take a left out of the Fort Wilderness parking lot, go for "a bit" then turn right ;)
My son was hamming it up this evening, I somehow got him to pose. I've done this exact shot of him before, complete with the selective color. To do Selective Coloring in Lightroom 2(+), you basically desaturate the entire photo except for the objects you want in color.

Day 309 - Glasses Day
(1040/365)
After last night's fun with the broken windscreen, I awoke with a splitting headache, just what I needed to start the day. I had to go find my distance glasses (I know where my reading/computer glasses are, they are at work) and make sure I wore them all day. It did keep the headache in check. It's been a while since I've worn the glasses all day like this. I packed them away before leaving the building, while walking down the hall I had trouble focusing on a person walking around at the other end (at least I think it was a person).
I had 20/15 to 20/10 vision for most of my life, at some point my left eye decided it was done with that crap and slipped though I don't remember exactly when. It's hard to keep track of this aging thing.

Day 308 - Missing
(1039/365)
Pouring rain, I come out of my daughter's school this evening after attending her Parent-Teacher Conference, to find my V-Strom on its right side. Either the wind blew it over (I never shortened the kickstand after lowering it 1 1/8" last winter) or someone bumped it. Anyway, the windscreen had shattered into about 20 pieces (the wings are still in tact). Brake lever tip snapped off (like that is a big surprise in a tip over). The new Pro-Taper Raptor bars are stong though, no damage I can see after looking them over.
One of the Suzuki quick releases broke on the dash panel, I will have to order one (can't find my spare). Turn signal had popped in, I pulled it back out. Massive gouge on the bar end.
Back at home (after I'd run up to Rochester to pick up my oldest), I quickly put on my spare Super-Mega-Tall windscreen. I hope it isn't raining tomorrow, this thing is over my helmet! I will have to cut it down over the weekend, Dremel tool here I come.
Worst part, the Strom has to work for tomorrow as my spare bike's battery is dead. Which reminds me, I need to pick up a battery tender.

Day 307 - Clear
(1038/365)
Kind of a spur of the moment thing. Not bad for being exhausted and ready to hit the sack.
Three marbles on an upside down pub glass with my diffused strobe behind them firing into the camera.

Day 306 - Jupiter
(1037/365)
I won't have time to break out the scope tonight (though it is ready to go in the garage). Instead, I took the 40D outside with the 70-200mm and mucked around with a little astrophotography. This is pretty basic stuff here, manual focus (gotta love Live View) and 200mm stuff. Using only my Manfrotto tripod.

Day 305 - Project Seal
(1036/365)
Apparently my daughters have funded some arts and crafts corporation that targets schools. There is a huge bag of crafts on our kitchen table, filled with various stuffed animal kits. This is my oldest's evening creation (hopefully after she finished her homework). It is a baby white seal (sans club).
