The Harwich Sea Festival Sunday 27 July 2008.
A very hot July day, brought the crowds out to enjoy an action packed day. organised by the Harwich Rotary Club. The Mayor of the town opened the event,During the day they presented a cheque to Capt. Rod Shaw of the Harwich RNLI.
and then we were treated to demonstrations of Water Rescue by the Newfoundland Dog Club, The Royal National Lifeboat Institute, and the Royal Air Force Air Sea Rescue and a display by a Felixstowe Tug Boat.
Entertainment was by the Jazz Band, Scottish Pipe Band, and Walton Shanty Singers, Royal British Legion Brass Band, amongst others. Many stalls and attractions made up a very colourful event.Had the good company of Jonpaul- please take time to look at his pictures -
