Thousands of ecstatic U’s fans turned Colchester into a soccer sea of blue and white as they saluted their promotion heroes.

An estimated 7,000 jubilant supporters packed town centre streets for a promotion party last night as Phil Parkinson’s conquerors celebrated their history-making season with an open-top bus parade.
