This amazing one day annual event has been making headlines and breaking records for years now. Over 12,000 people came to the Colchester’s famous Christmas Fair, – No Christmas Fair would be complete without a visit from Santa, and other guests to this festive extravaganza they included the Mayor. Food, music and two radio stations will entertain the crowds. According to a tradition dating back to the middle ages, the Mayor threw cakes from the Balcony of the Town Hall, to the waiting crowds below. The event will be held outdoors on Colchester High Street which is closed to traffic for the occasion.
