This sharp-shinned hawk flew about ten feet from me then into a live oak near the house. I was able to ease under the canopy and take photos.

This is the first this season I have been sure of. I've seen a number flying in the distance for a month or so (at least one pursued by mockingbirds), but not clear enough to be certain of ID.
